Telsa Motors has announced that it will soon open Tesla shops in the German cities of Berlin and Stuttgart, the former just happens to be Daimler AG’s home stomping grounds.
The two new sales centers will join the shops the American car maker has already has in Dusseldorf, Munich, Frankfurt, and Hamburg, the latter being the home of the hot dog. By all accounts, Tesla is ready to battle the European auto giants in their own backyards. Industry observers feel that Tesla has a good chance of securing a real foothold in the old-land simply because it has mastered the electric vehicle, while carmakers such as BMW, Audi, and Daimler have yet to leave the warm, smoky embrace of the gas-powered vehicle.
