Supra Concept

Top Toyota folks have let it leak that an all-electric Supra and a revived MR2 are in the works. Though nothing is official yet, industry observers believe that the plug-in Supra is being engineered in conjunction with the American electric vehicle maker Tesla.

The soothsayers have, as they are wont to do, parsed past words of Tesla’s design chief Franz von Holzhausen when he said that the company would most likely be working on a sports car to follow its Model X, and they have determined that the Supra is to be this sports car.

Now, before getting too excited about an all-electric Toyota/Tesla Supra sports car, keep in mind that the majority opinion is that it will take five years or more for the carmakers to build a production-ready model.
