Three talentless teenaged thieves were caught by their own collective inability to drive a stick shift car.
When the three thugs carjacked Jebelle Yaunk’s Honda CRX, they had no idea that they would not be able to make a get away due to not being able to drive a car with a manual transmission. Yaunk reported that she could only laugh, despite having just been pistol whipped in the jaw by one of the youth, as the car stalled with its alarm blasting open the darkness of the Nebraska evening.
Though the lads fled the motionless car on foot, they were soon apprehended after the parents of one of the boys called the police. Way to go Cornhusker parents!
Editor’s Note: Seriously, in this day in age when you can’t hardly even get a Lambo with a manual transmission, perhaps the 5/6-speed is the new theft-deterrent device. Reminds me of the original logic behind the fixed-gear messenger bike: if no one can ride it, no one can steal it!
