Toyota is in the works of making a futuristic, open-wheeled sports car with high speeds and a low footprint. The design calls for four open wheels, which will be fendered, and a cockpit with seats for three individual people. This new vehicle will contain a 100 horsepower engine, and is made mostly of carbon fiber. It is similar to Mazda’s MX-5 Miata. The sports car of the future will be appearing in Tokyo at the Tokyo Motor Show towards the end of October of 2015. If the concept is accepted by the public, the model could be produced as early as 2017.
