Ford, the maker of the most popular pickup truck in the history of the world, has unveiled the Ford Atlas at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show in its ongoing efforts to do what it can to maintain its lead over its pickup-making rivals.
The Atlas, a concept pickup, is providing truck lovers with a glimpse into what the 2015 F-Series Pickup may be. Sporting an enhanced angular design and a grille that can best be described as being down right enormous, the Atlas gives a clear indication that there are some major changes in store for Ford’s big-selling F-Series.
In addition to the changes to the front, industry insiders are saying that Ford is also focusing on fuel efficiency. The Atlas, when or if it becomes the 2015 F-Series, should feature a less-thirsty engine and weigh several hundreds of pounds fewer than what today’s F-Series pickup carries.
