Nissan has announced at the Detroit Auto Show that it is working on a sports car that will be smaller than its much-loved Z.

The automaker is more than aware that a smaller car will be for a smaller niche. Talking about just that by comparing the third Nissan sports car with a British yeasty bread spread, Nissan executive vice president Andy Palmer said, [The car’s] like Marmite. You’ll love it or hate it.”

Palmer was also overheard at the auto show as having said that the diminutive sports car will be made to suit the tastes of the video-gaming generation…
