Home / News / Self-driving Audi, Lexus Prototypes at CES

There is no doubt that each year there is a wonder of magical devices on display at the Consumer Electronics Show. However, this year there are two special vehicles as well that promise to not just please the gadget-heads, but also the car buffs.

Both Audi and Toyota have brought self-driving cars to the show. Toyota’s Lexus LS 600h can pilot its self by starting, steering, and stopping itself. Toyota explains that its Lexus LS 600h was made so that the automaker could “explore autonomous technologies and high-level driver assistance systems.”

Audi also brought its own self-driving concept to the CES. Industry observers believe that it is only a matter of (a short-period of) time until self-driving cars are plying our roads. In fact, Google has already tested self-driving vehicles on the public roads of Nevada and California without incident.
