Finally, the automaker of France has jumped upon the electric vehicle bandwagon for the first Renault Zoe electric car has been delivered its first owner, French Minister for Industrial Recovery, Arnaud Montebourg. The 87-horsepower Zoe has a single-charge range from 62 miles to 93 miles depending upon the outdoor temperature.
The most unique feature of the Zoe is its price. It goes for less than many of its combustion-engine pals coming in at around the equivalent of $18,000 in croissants, berets, and body odor. However, the purchase price is not the only cost to buying the Renault Zoe electric car. A buyer also has to pay a monthly battery rental fee of around $110.
Renault is the largest electric car seller in the old tyme’ continent having sold more than 16,600 electric vehicles last year through October 2012.
