Hennessey Venom Spyder

The Hennessey Venom GT Spyder

What is about senior citizens and convertible sport cars? Just when you’ve grown accustomed to seeing grandma tooling around town in her topless MINI convertible, now you’ve got to ready your poor eyes for the chance that they just might spy grandma’s favorite rock star speeding around the nursing home in his brand new Hennessey Venom GT Spyder.

That’s right, Steven Tyler has got himself a pretty little ride that just so happens to be the fastest convertible on the planet. The Aerosmith frontman paid $1.1 million to become the proud own of the highly-modified, Lotus Exige version. According to the seller, the supercar has a top speed of 268 miles per hour and can sprint to 200 mph from an ice-cube standstill in fewer than 16 seconds.

The car was built specifically for the former American Idol dirty old man. Talking about the job, John Hennessey, owner of Hennessey Performance Engineering, said, ‚ÄúSteven came to us last year and asked if we could build his Venom GT as a roadster.”

Hell yeah they could!
