
The good folks over at Chrysler sure have some gumption. Unfortunately, for them, a good number of them may not have jobs fairly soon if the initial reactions to the completely new 2014 Jeep Cherokee are any indication of how the world at large will view the modern take on a classic favorite.
Gone is the no-frills, get-exactly-what’s-expected vehicle that has not been in production since 2001. In its place is a noticeably smooth-lined, dual-headlighted, crossover that would have looked fine, perhaps even attractive, as part of Nissan’s or Hyundai’s lineup, just not as a Jeep and definitely not as a Cherokee.
